A privilege and responsibility in the Christian home is raising children in the Lord. The home is the first mission field and the primary place for Christian discipleship. The purpose of this resource is to equip you to use the weekly preaching ministry as a discipleship resource for you and your family.
This resource is designed to be simple and fit within the normal function and conversations of your family life. Having these conversations should not be a burden, but a joy.
The following questions are arranged Sunday through Saturday, with two questions for each day and a daily theme. You can read the passage, or a portion of the text Pastor Rob preached from, before asking the questions. Refer to your own message notes as a prompt.

Tips to use this resource.
- Manage Your Expectations. Younger children have short attention spans, older children are full of energy, and teenagers are… well, teenagers. Give yourself and your kids plenty of grace!
- Apply the principle of stacking. One action each day builds on the day before.
- Treat the questions like prompts, not prescriptions. Don’t feel you have to ask both questions.
- Pray that the Holy Spirit leads the conversation in your home.
- Model simple answers. Don’t expect your children to converse or act like an adult. As an adult, your answers at times will be abstract and nuanced. You may see greater connections throughout the whole of Scripture. By modeling simple answers, you create an environment that encourages them to speak and ask questions.
